Princeton, N.J. – October 30, 2014 – ALK, a Trimble Company and global leader in GeoLogistics® solutions and navigation software, announced today a new update to its CoPilot® Truck™ mobile GPS navigation app for iOS and Android. The update, v9.6.2, includes a revamped and restyled user interface (UI) and a full map update.
CoPilot Truck v9.6.2 is designed to provide professional drivers with comprehensive and accurate truck-specific navigation and is the only navigation app to offer ALK’s PC*MILER® commercial routing. The new version includes updated maps that contain truck-specific attributes not found in standard car GPS navigation apps. These include height restrictions, hazardous materials restrictions, truck-related points of interest (POIs), state mileage calculators and more.

CoPilot Truck v9.6.2 also seamlessly integrates with the Drivewyze PreClear mobile-based weigh station bypass app, available separately from Drivewyze, to help drivers save time and money by bypassing weigh stations while following CoPilot Truck guidance. Drivers will also benefit from CoPilot Truck’s new ActiveRoutes™ feature that calculates routes using average road speeds at that exact time of day and day of the week they are scheduled to travel for precise routing.
